At Unbothered™, customer satisfaction is important to us. This Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy is designed to comply with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA"), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECTA"), and all other applicable South African consumer legislation.

Nothing contained in this policy limits or excludes any rights afforded to consumers under South African law.

1. CHANGE OF MIND RETURNS

As an online retailer, Unbothered™ may, at its sole discretion, accept returns where a customer changes their mind about a purchase.

Any request must be submitted within 7 calendar days of receiving the product.

To qualify for a return:

  • The product must be unused.
  • The product must be unopened and in its original condition.
  • All original packaging, accessories, inserts and manuals must be included.
  • The product must be free from damage, markings, wear, contamination, or evidence of use.
  • Any hygiene seals must remain intact.

For hygiene, health and safety reasons, personal grooming products that have been opened, used, tested, or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the product cannot be returned unless defective.

Unbothered™ reserves the right to decline any change-of-mind return that does not meet these requirements.

Customers remain responsible for all return shipping costs associated with change-of-mind returns.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

2. DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS

In terms of Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, consumers are entitled to a six-month implied warranty of quality.

If a product is found to be defective, unsafe, or fails to meet the standards contemplated in Section 55 of the CPA, the customer may return the product within six months of delivery.

Upon inspection and confirmation of a valid defect, Unbothered™ will, at the customer's election:

  • Repair the product;
  • Replace the product; or
  • Refund the purchase price.

Where required by law, reasonable return shipping costs will be covered by Unbothered™.

  • Failure to follow product instructions or warnings.

Such circumstances will not qualify for repair, replacement or refund.

For hygiene and safety reasons, products that have been:

  • Used;
  • Opened;
  • Tested on skin;
  • Exposed to bodily contact;
  • Contaminated with hair, skin particles, liquids or personal care products;

cannot be returned for a refund or exchange unless a manufacturing defect exists.

This provision does not affect any rights granted under the CPA.
